Thirteen Nickel Alloy Vessels

We delivered 13 essential high-temperature nickel alloy ASME code pressure vessels, totaling over 1,200 linear feet of welding. Each piece required solution annealing, phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT), post-weld heat treatment (PWHT), and multiple ID/OD acid washes—prior to each heat treatment cycle and again before shipment for deep cleaning.Refinery Tower

After the collapse of this customer’s largest refining tower, they needed a replacement as quickly as possible. This column’s total height was 268’ with a lower section that was 10’-6” in diameter and transitioned to a 6’-0” upper section with wall thicknesses ranging from 2” to 3/8” in carbon steel. The entire vessel required post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) and paint.Five Process Columns

Our customer required these to keep their patent alive. We fabricated five columns that required internal tray supports, insulation, and painting. We expedited engineering and welding through major holidays and accelerated fabrication by fabricating two vessels in Cincinnati and the remaining three at our Natchez facility.Refining Vessel Section

This vessel section is made of 516-70 carbon steel, with a 3’ diameter and an 18” diameter boot. It required phased-array ultrasonic testing of the nozzles and weld X-rays.Lethal Service Vessel
